Random Timers

I would like to see the ability to have a randomized timer selection possibly with a range (example. 0-5, 20-35 mins) may make bots harder to detect, as well as vary them up a bit just in case they get stuck in a weird loop at any point.

Do you mean that it should pause within that randomized timer? What is the your idea behind the timer exactly?

I don't know if this is considered grave digging since this post is from waaay back.. but i do agree with @tindolt regarding the bot detection problem.  idk if you are familiar with runescape osbot?  you have the option (button) randomize breaktime.

 

example:

Runtime: 6:00:00 (6 hours)

break: 1:00:00 ( 1 hour )

[ ] Randomise break.

 

so if you turn on randomize. the runtime will differ each time it breaks. 

 

example:

 

first session:

runtime: 5:33:20 ( 5 hours , 33 minutes and 20 seconds )

break: 0:45:13 (0 hours, 45 minutes and 13 seconds )

 

second session:

runetime: 4:22:20 ( 4 hours, 22 minutes and 20 seconds)
break: 0:59:13 ( 0 hours, 59 minutes and 13 seconds)

 

etc etc.

Yes, we are very familiar with OSB and this concept in general (break handler). We have it on our todo list, but it's low priority. The difference is that bot detection is a huge thing in RS. Breaks (debatably) help reduce ban rates. In most other (mobile) games, bans like this is not an issue. They have little or no bot detection. Have you had any issues with bans in a particular game that you think this would have helped in? 

 

Just to restate, we do intend to add one. However, it isn't high priority at the moment due to no bans happening from our bot (at least, not one reported!)
