  1. BotSauce Version 1.008 is now available for download here.

    Release Notes

This release adds a new bot: Cookie Clicker Bot! Cookie Clicker Bot is available to all users for free! This is a simple, but fun bot for a simple but fun game.

    • General
      • Added a tips section at the bottom of the bot window instance view
      • Fixed the bot to not un-minimize MEmu instances that are inactive. Previously BotSauce would un-minimize any MEmu instance automatically. Now it will only un-minimize them if needed.
      • Fixed a bug if you closed the bot with popups open, it would not close the popups. Now it will close any open popups when you close the bot.
      • Improved communication protocol between BotSauce client and server
    • AFK Arena
      • No Changes
    • Raid: Shadow Legends
      • No Changes
    • Cookie Clicker
      • Opens the cookie tab if it's not already open when you start
      • Supports variable click speed defined by the user (max speed can click ~70k cookies per hour!)
      • Supports randomizing clicks, or clicking the same spot
      • Supports stopping after "x" cookies clicked

  2. BotSauce Version 1.007 is now available for download here.

    Release Notes

This release is focused on automatically sizing the emulator to the BotSauce recommended size for optimal bot performance.

    • General
      • Added a Client Setting (left side of bot) to "Automatically Size Emulator on Start". If enabled (recommended) the bot will check that the emulator instance is set to the recommended size before starting, and if not the bot will resize the MEmu instance automatically for you. This ensures a smoother botting experience.
        • As of MEmu version 7.2.1, they now support windows scaling. This caused some weird things to happen with the bot. If you have windows scaling enabled, make sure you have this setting enabled in the bot (it's already enabled by default). In general, this is a recommended setting to have enabled anyway.
      • Added a button on the Emulator Settings screen to "Auto Size Emulator". This is separate from the setting above, but performs the same auto size function to make sure the emulator is at the recommended size. This button just gives a manual way to perform the same action.

  3. BotSauce Version 1.006 is now available for download here.

    Release Notes

This release was heavily focused on quality of life updates for the bot client, and adding a few new features to the Raid bot.

    • General
      • Added a BotSauce icon to the windows system tray
      • Added an option in the bot to "Minimize to System Tray" (See the new button on the top right of the client, to the right of your username)
        • When minimized to system tray, the bot will continue running in the background
        • To restore the bot, simply click the BotSauce icon on your windows system tray
      • Added a new Settings window to the bot on the left tool bar, click it to access new client settings
        • Added a new client setting to enable/disable the bot from using system notifications
        • Added a new client setting to enable/disable the bot from rendering emulator previews. It can potentially save on CPU/RAM if you disable this, but you will not see emulator previews anymore in the bot.
      • Added multiple windows notifications upon different bot events (like when you level up, there will be a windows notification)
      • The bot home screen emulator preview grid will now dynamically size the number of columns based on client width. For example, if the bot client is resized to be narrow, it may only have 1 column and multiple rows. Previously it was always fixed at 3 columns max. It will make more sense if you have multiple emulators open, and you resize the bot window!
    • AFK Arena
      • No Changes
    • Raid: Shadow Legends
      • Added support to automatically collect quest rewards at user specified time intervals
      • Added support to automatically collect playtime rewards at user specified time intervals
      • The bot will now "Baseline" before it starts, meaning it will go to the home screen before beginning activities. This ensures the most accurate bot execution.
      • Added "Current Level" and "Current Stage" counters to the stats area when running in campaign mode
      • Closes popup screens much faster:  Sometimes there are a bunch of in game popups in a row, which is annoying. So it will close them more rapidly now.

  9. Introduction

Runescape is a very popular game in terms of botting. Bots for Runescape commonly use code injection, reflection, or some form of memory access on the official client. This is the conventional way of botting in Runescape. In turn, Runescape has developed a complex, multifaceted bot detection system with a very high success rate. The bots developed by BotSauce perform no injection, reflection, or modification of any kind on the official application. Instead, we use complex image analysis and color detection algorithms to bring you a new kind of botting experience. Our hope is that this will reduce the likelihood of bans, and help keep your accounts as safe as possible. In addition, we use the mobile version of Runescape via an Android emulator. We're hopeful that this will help reduce some of the common behavior analysis concerns in terms of "Mouse Detection" since there is less cases where you need to drag the mouse between two points. Since this is the mobile version, you can simply tap one point, and then jump to the next point without worrying about the in-between movement (at least, in most cases).

    Features

    • Choose the rock you want to mine
    • Supports any location
    • Drops uncut gems [Optional - you can also keep them]
    • Uses tap to drop to quickly drop ores while power mining
    • Non-invasive botting technology (no code injection, reflection, or modification whatsoever, and no memory access)
    • Login handler in case you get disconnected while botting
    • Mining radius support so you can select how far to look for rocks
    • Camera rotation to search for rocks

    MEmu Settings

    Spoiler

In MEmu, there are some specific settings that are required or helpful specific to running Old School Runescape (see installation guide below for general MEmu setup and installation). Make sure when you setup a MEmu instance, you follow the following guidelines.

    1.    When creating a new MEmu instance, ensure that you select either of the Android 7.1+ versions. OSRS tends to not work on older Android operating systems in MEmu and will crash, so select 7.1 beta, or 7.1 64bit when creating a new instance.

     image.png.205ed6c75fd157481dc1a1a24d7b2b1c.png

    2.    After your new MEmu instance is created, name it something meaningful like "OSRS - Account Name". Then open the settings for that particular instance and open "Engine" -> "Render mode" and make sure it is set to OpenGL. You may also want to increase the preset settings here to ensure adequate resources are available for OSRS.

    image.png.9dee53ce397d89d237200ff4a232d8c9.png

    3.    The last setting to check is the display resolution. Ensure that your resolution is set to Tablet (1280x720). You may try running at other resolutions, but we develop our bots at 1280x720, so that will be the most stable resolution to use.

    OSRS Power Miner - Pre-Setup

    Spoiler

Now that you have setup a new MEmu instance following the above steps, we are ready to setup Runescape get get to botting! So launch your new instance and lets set it up. This setup is a one-time setup. After you install osrs and configure your settings, you won't need to do this every time.

    1.    Install OSRS from the app store, just like you would on your phone.

    2.    After installing, you should have the app available on your home screen. Click it to open OSRS. If the app crashes, just re-open, sometimes it does that. If it continues to crash, ensure that you setup MEmu as directed above and have hardware virtualization enabled. If you continue having issues, just ask us for help on discord.

    image.png.5a11c66267155ec10e1356d39d942bb8.png

    3.    The first time that you open the app, you will need to sign in. Simply enter your account information and click Login. Afterwards, your information will be remembered by the OSRS app and you will not need to enter it again unless you wish to switch accounts.

    image.png.7f6b6dfe43d7f910dc1a45e92ccf3a5c.png

    4.    Now that you're signed in, we need to set a couple of settings in Runescape itself to make for a better botting experience. These are not 100% required and the bot will likely function ok without it, but this is what we use in development and will be the most stable. You can try other settings if you want to, but if you experience any issues, please make sure to change these to match the recommended settings.

Open the settings tab, under display settings, ensure that you have the following settings:

    • [Recommended] Zoom = 3rd Setting (50% - This is the default value)
    • [Recommended] Brightness = 3rd setting (75%)

    image.png.1ed2ba82b7f33b1359b35fadbe0b9661.png

    5.    Last but not least, open the Controls tab and set the following:

    • [Required] Toggle function button = Enabled (function button should be visible on the left side)
    • [Recommended] Player Attack options = Hidden
    • [Recommended] NPC Attack options = Hidden

    OSRS Power Miner - Setup

    Spoiler

Now MEmu and OSRS are all configured and you are ready to start botting.

    1.    Ensure that your character in game is located by the rocks that you want to mine. You can start the bot logged out, or logged in, as long as you are located next to the rocks that you want to mine.

    2.    Open BotSauce, and select the instance that you want to run the power miner on. Then select the power miner from the drop down just like any other bot in BotSauce. You should now see the settings for the power miner.

    image.png.65b03ca900a85c21bf21188d61a531e3.png

    3.    Select the options from the "Settings" area of the GUI. Radius is a percentage of the screen that you want the bot to look for rocks in. This can help prevent your player from running back and forth alot between far away rocks.

i.e. if you select iron and set radius to 50%, the bot will only look in the center 50% of the screen for iron rocks. This can be helpful if you only want to focus on a small area of rocks.

    4.   Press start and the bot will take it from here!

OSRS Power Miner - General Tips and Suggestions

    Spoiler
    • If you are low level and want to use progressive pickaxes, you can simply place multiple in your inventory. For example if you are starting at level 1, you can place a bronze, steel, mithril, adamant, and rune pickaxe in your inventory. As you level up, you will automatically use the best pickaxe.
    • Don't move your tab location on the left and right of the screen after you start the bot. The bot will identify this location at the start and not look again to improve performance. So once the bot is started, don't change the inset of your tab bars. If you do change it, stop and start the bot again.
    • Make sure to start the bot with inventory space and a pickaxe equipped or in your inventory.
    • Make sure your player is located near the rocks that you want to mine.
    • Due to image recognition being a bit slower by nature, it is best to avoid competitive mining. In general the bot will not be faster to click a rock than a human that is focusing on mining, so try to use locations with less people.
    • Don't bot ores that you can barely mine. The bot will be very slow and inefficient since your player will also be slow and inefficient. Mine ores that you can quickly mine to maximize experience and improve bot performance.
    • Minimizing the chat window is recommended (but not required) since it gives a better view with less obstructions.
    • Don't run the bot around aggressive NPCs. For example, king scorpions in the dwarven mine for low levels. If you do this, you may eventually die if they are aggressive and keep attacking you. Not to mention, they will keep interrupting your mining and slow exp rates.
    • Don't bot with a bunch of excessive stuff in your inventory. It's possible you can die, or the bot could mis-click and accidentally drop something. So don't risk unnecessary stuff in your inventory.
    • Setting a smaller radius can help increase bot performance since the bot will only look in a smaller area. If you know you only want a few rocks that you are near, try reducing the mining radius to 25% or 50%. You will be faster to detects rocks as they come back after being mined. This will help in case you are competing for rocks.
    • If you plan to mine for long periods of time unattended, make sure to drop uncut gems. Otherwise you might fill up on uncut gems and not be able to mine.
